So Why Are You There?

I was taking my meal yesterday at the cafeteria when I heard the hunk of my MD's car, I was able to notice  because I heard the hunk about 3 to 4 times. Definitely, the guy at the gate was not there, probably gone to do something else. While the scenario played out, the food vendor said "may be they've sent the guy on an errand as usual!"

This brought out the question in my heart, why am I where I work? and that's the same question I want you my reader to ask your self today, "Why am I here?", what's the reason you are where you are right now, I mean in terms of your core function or responsibility, Myles Munroe said "when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable".

Myles Munroe said "when purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable."
A lot of people have forgotten the reason they are where they are, their first call of action, the essence of their being involved in the activity they are doing. For instance, the core essence of a chorister in church is to first offer his life, ability, emotion, personality to God as a living sacrifice then to minister to others, most times the reverse is the case.

Let take few scenarios, the reason an account is in the office is first to keep records of accounting and not majorly to secure funds, the function of a pastor in a church is first to serve God, and lead others to God's kingdom, not to collect money and hammer on tithes and offering, the reason a student is in school is to learn and become useful to himself and the entire world starting from his family but not to hang out with friends, the reason God created marriage is first for companionship other things follow not to produce children like some thought, this list is endless.

So let me ask you, why are you there? Why are you in that office? Why are you in that Church? Why are you in that Relationship? Why are you in that business? Why are you in that group? why are you in this wold? Why are you... you can fill in the gap.

My sincere prayer is that we would not loose focus on the reason we are made and the reason we are where we are, and for those who don't have a purpose, that God will help you find your purpose in life.

Do you mind leaving a word for me, it will be well appreciated.

God is Interested

When I got the vehicle I currently use, there was need for me to change one or two things in it, and eventually someone referred us (my wife and I) to someone, so we got to the man and eventually worked on it, we found out that our problem became complicated and then started having issues with our so called new car though it's a "Tokunbo" (i.e. vehicles used abroad and shipped for sale here), even at that, it shouldn't be giving such problems we were facing.

One morning when we were heading out for work, (I was taken my wife to her office) the Holy Spirit of God just ministered to me that, "have you prayed about the Mechanic for this vehicle?" Immediately I told my wife and right there we offered a simple prayer to God and that was it.

On returning from her office to my own office, I saw a group of mechanic workshop and I just turned to one of them and saw a  young man called Bolaji (they call him BJ), I told him I needed a mechanic for this vehicle and he said what exactly is the problem? The rest is history, this is the man that services this vehicle till today!

Let me tell someone today that God is interested in every affairs of our lives, irrespective of what you think you are or even whom you think you are, all we need to do is acknowledge him and then tell him about it, and believing in your heart that God has done what you requested, it's that simple.

So I will like to challenge someone reading this today to ask and depend totally on God for some specific things in your life and let's see how God will respond to you, don't forget that anyone who seeks God must believe He exists and that He is the rewarder of those that diligently seek Him, also don't forget that faith without work is dead i.e. to say when you ask for a job, go out there and look for one and then God will favour you to get it.

I will expect your testimony as a comment.

You are blessed.

Are You A Value Add?

When employers of labour are about to employ new employees there is a question they ask and that's what we'll focus on today. The question is "What Value Will You Add To This Organisation"

Simple! right?, yes!, but as simple as it sounds it's a fully loaded question with lots of meaning in it.

My question to my reader today is what value do you add to every one that meets you, what value do you add to lives around you, what value do you add to your church, your school, and any organisation you find yourself?

Really, a lot of people just exists, doing their thing in their own way, not minding or laying so much emphasis on whether they are positively affecting others or they are negatively affecting them.

My thought this day is that, I hope everyone will be conscious of the fact that you can either make or mar someone by your attitude and decisions, I really wish that someone will be a plus out there, consciously be a value add to someone, in love, respect, advice, and in every way you could, who knows if that value you are adding to that person will eventually be the saving grace for that person.

In offices, if you must be reckoned with, and respected, the value you bring to the table will determine so much, so from today make up your mind to do something differently by adding value.

Let's share some ways to add value

  1. Think about the solution to the problem of others e.g. pay school fees for someone who can't afford it
  2. Pray for someone who is in need of God's divine intervention e.g. Pray for the sick
  3. Give the right and Godly counsel to a way ward young or old person
  4. Bring up new ideas for business opportunities for your organisation
  5. Teach your friends or colleagues things you know, they don't know, that will make them better.
The list is endless, all am saying is keep being a plus, add value to someone today and see what joy that will fill your heart.

Fight Your Fear!

Hi there!

While thinking about what to write about today, something came to my mind and that's exactly what you are reading about FEAR?

A no of us have different things fear, most students fear to fail, most new couple fear not too have their first child early, most especially in this part of the world Africa and Nigeria where i come from, most people believe that after marriage and children did not, there is a problem with the either the husband or the wife and so you see people asking them hope all is well and most especially for the religious pastors and Imams will start visiting to pray for them to have a baby, others fear is making mistakes and even being wrong.

Other people have different things they fear, loss of job, fear of the unknown other says, some other people's fear is even death. Whatever may be the fear you have today, I'm hear to tell you that you've got to fight your fear. You know what i noticed, what you often fear eventually happen to you.

"What you often fear, eventually happen to you"
by definition : fear  (/fi(ə)r/)

An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Now you see that it's about the belief, it's an emotional thing as such you should not allow it within you.

2Pe.1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue

So you need not fear, instead of you to be afraid of things, its better you face the fear and fight it, because the power of God has been given to us, all things we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Christ.

So your knowledge of Christ will give you the required boldness you need to fight your fear. You should also know that FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real

My prayer for someone reading this that You will be filled with the knowledge of Jesus to the extent that you will be so bold and your fear will melt away.

Have a Christ filled weekend!

Don't forget your comment means so much.

Why Worry?

Many times in our lives we worry about things, in fact worrying sometimes has become part of us that we don’t even know it, and we worry about different kinds of things from a living thing to a non-living thing, inanimate, we worry about even things that should not even take our time.

What do people worry about by the way? Some worry about what to eat, what type of cloth to wear to the event, worry about getting older without being engaged, worry about no children, worry about no job, worry about low salary, worry about not serving God enough, worry about what will happen if not there, worry about the next step to take in life, worry even about the state of heath of oneself or siblings or even parents, some even worry about their pets etc.

I’ve got a simple question for you my reader today, will worry change anything? Will it bring about the solution, will it give you the answers to the question, will it restore the health, will it bring the husband, will it increase your salary, will it make your spouse love you, will it increase your days on earth if you are afraid and worried about dying?

Let me submit to you hear that worrying about anything and everything will only reduce your efficiency and life span, it will only make you weak and you’ll become a weakling, it does not add value but only reduces

Jesus even said it that “by worrying we can’t add a cubit to our stature” also by worrying what God will give you tomorrow; he won’t give it to you today, so why worry?

A composer of song one said “why worry when you can pray…don’t be a doubting Thomas when you have prayed, why worry, when you can pray”

Another one said “don’t worry, be happy…”

Hey! Instead of worrying about it, do these and you will not regret it
1. Calm down and really understand the problem or challenge
2. Act on things that can solve the problem or fix the error
3. Pray to God in the name of Jesus and believe that what you ask for God has done it
4. Start rejoicing and live a good life void of worry, knowing fully well that God is in control of it.

A Piece of My Mind

It’s been a while now that I posted to this blog, some stress here and there caused it.

But do you know what I found out as I began to type this, I suddenly realized that, there is no excuse for my failure, so any day I failed to post on this platform, then I’m missing out already, and failing in my dreams. I sincerely hope I will be able to keep up and discipline myself to do so.

To my reader, you might be wondering, why am posting such, really I believe you learn every day and God has a way of bringing to your notice areas where you are falling short in life. If this plat form is to add value to someone, then it’s worth it, making sure that something good is being posted every day or every other day.

This morning while I was driving her to work, she said to me “you really need to work on yourself and be disciplined, you work from morning to night and when you get home you are tired and sleep till the next morning so when do you have time to think about other things, when do you have time to listen to God speak to you, when do you have time to do personal studies, so that you can also develop yourself and then impact others positively”

I realized from her tone of words that she’s not happy about it, and that I need to do something about this, so I thought let it begin from here. “The blog” I have not posted since 24th July and this is 14th August. What a shame!

Bounced back and ready to impact myself for my world. This is just a piece of my mind this morning, do you gain anything from this? Just like I told her, "I will surprise you, starting from tonight!" so expect something great coming out soon.

Hey by the way, you comment will be of great help.
