Spirit-Inspired Devotion

·                     Don’t be dogmatic in your doing, it is not mandatory, or there is no law that says that you must do your devotion in the morning before you leave the home

·                     Fine, you can pray and commit your way to God for leading and direction, but not that it is compulsory to do devotion in the morning.

·                     Devotion needs a relax mind and time, as such you must create a time and most especially that is convenient, so as to really get the message and understand what the Holy Spirit teaches you.

·                   Before you study the word of God, it’s important that you pray first that the Holy Spirit to guide you, teach you on what you want to read.

How Do You Study The Bible

·                     Reading to get understanding of what the word of God says

·                     The first, thing you want to seek first is the understanding of what the word of God is saying.

·                     You might require more than one version of the bible to really get the understanding of the word you are reading.

·                     Some bible comes with references, which relates the verse you are reading with other verses of the scripture.

·                     The second thing is the application of what you read to your own life

What Does it Mean to Meditate

·                     Meditating is having a continuous and deep thought of God’s word, serious contemplation.

·                     The purpose of meditating on the word of God is basically allowing the word of God to sink, and have tap roots in you, so that it can settle in your (your spirit)

·                     So that when you need that word, you can remember the word of God that is already, inside your spirit.

Living Righteously

·                     Living according to the standard of God according to his word.

What is Christian Service
·                   God has not saved us to be bench warmers in the church, but that we do work for God in the church of God.

Make sure you are always say your prayers our, always talk; don’t keep it to yourself in your mind.

Don’t just shake your body or move your body, but always say your prayers out.

Don’t ever lose your focus when you are praying, let your prayer be coordinated.

Jesus’ Visit to a Strange Hospital (John 5:1-16)
Points

It’s a story of Jesus in Jerusalem, he wanted to attend the feast but when He got there, instead of going to the feast He first visited the pool called Bethesda. When Jesus got there He saw a man having an infirmity 38 years.

Joh 5:6-7  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
Jesus having compassion on him asked him “will you be made whole”?

What should be his response? “Yes I guess you will say” but this man never said so, see his response below.

 (7)  The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

The man was just saying what was not his need. The question is what’s your need? Jesus is asking you today. Even as you read be expectant to receive from God, that special thing you need from God.

Note this that it’s not all the time the Pastor comes to preach that miracles happen, but when the people don’t even expect that is when the miracle happen.

Until you have prepared yourself to receive from God you will not receive from God.

Any time you come to God’s presence always be ready to receive from God. Be prepared always to receive something special from God.

This you should know that whatsoever God has done in your life will remain permanent and you will always remember how God did it.

The visit of God to you in a day will be the turnaround of your life. And as you read today God is ready to do something in your life He’s seen your heart and He knows what you are going through, just ask Him now and you’ll will get it.

Joh 5:8-9 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.  (9)  And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the Sabbath.

Whatever has held you down from worshiping God is removed from you today in Jesus’ name, amen.

After the man had received his healing, people started querying him and start disturbing him, but He led them to Jesus as the healer.

Today God will silence everyone that wants you to remain in the same position in Jesus’ name.

Listen today is the day of your blessing.

I prophesy to someone’s life, today the Almighty will wipe out your tears, irrespective of what you are going through, now begin to rejoice.

Until you have met with the person God had sent to meet your need, your life may not go forward.

God will bring such person to meet with you in Jesus’ name.

I declare into your life today that the person ordained to meet with your need in life will come your way now in Jesus name.

The person the Lord had blessed because of you will locate you in Jesus’ name.

Today God will meet your need. And whatever you have been praying for, God will give them into your hand in Jesus name.

Remember You have an End (Ezekiel 18:20-24)
Points
This is to inform everyone that there is an end to what we are doing today in life, and as a result of this we should be conscious of this, because what will it be like if eventually we missed it at the end of life, when those who think will not make eternal life are the ones that made it and the reverse was the case.

Eze 18:24  But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Deu 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

·                   Your decision in life will determine where you eventually land yourself, God has given us options to choose from, he also advised us on the best option to take

·                   John 14:3. We should be aware that this world is not our home, we are just a stranger here on earth, and one day we will go back home, so where will that out home be, where are we going to spend the rest of our lives after death.

·                   Your commitment to God as a member or God’s family will help you in your life to make it to heaven but it is not a guarantee for you to get to heaven.

·                   Be careful also to note that your state of wealth does not determine your movement to heaven, so if you are rich or wretched it does not license you to heaven.

·                   The only license to heaven is surrendering your life and believing in Jesus.

·                   Partial obedience is disobedience and leads to a painful end.

·                   One of two things must happen; either Jesus comes or death. Both can happen unexpectedly, so be prepared.

·                   It’s important you ask God to help you, and take away anything that will disturb you from getting to heaven.

·                   Anything that can stop you from getting to heaven must be stopped now, so call on God to help you so that you won’t loose heaven.
