So Much Love!

I got this Broadcast some days back and I thought I should share it with everyone.

Malachi 3:3 says: 'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.'
This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.

One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining Silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: 'He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?'

He smiled at her and answered, 'Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.'
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire , remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

You can share this link with every one that's important in your life. This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them and, whatever they're going through, they'll be a better person in the end.

What Do You About Them?

Some times back I was on my way to Enugu for an official assignment and so I went to the airport to book a flight the night prior to the day. When I got there I met a lady at the Airport, she's actually the Guest Manager for that evening, so I approached her asking her some questions about the flights that will be available for the next morning, while she was answering me, I asked if she could help out with booking, then she introduced a man to me who eventually did the transaction.

While waiting to get the flight details and payment made to the man, we got chatting and I was asking her a lot of questions and she answered, very well, wow! I said to my self, this is a kind of a different fella and then that was how our friendship started.

Today, if I will travel anywhere, she does the booking, some times I even pay later. What am I trying to say? Am saying those people you meet  on your day to day activities what do you do about them? do you keep them for life like my MD will say, "We are in the business of keeping customers for life for our clients". And that's it.

We should learn to cherish people that comes our way, most especially the relationship we've had with them, they are unique people and so we should treat them that way some might be bad to us, never mind win them over with love. "Do to others what you will like them do to you".

Meet my friend, Damilola, what a wonderful friend, still have more to say about her, one of this days I will open a talk just for her, she's been a wonderful friend.

Have you met anyone in your life that's so great to you? please honour them with a comment below this post.

Go and Stand Before Kings - 4

To put a final note on the topic we started last week, "Go and Stand Before Kings", I have these few words to wrap up the discussion and don't forget, God's part of your rising to be the word of the king is done and established. Your own part is what's crucial and should be done with all sense of responsibility. Bellow are the other things which are important if you must stand before kings.

1.                You must solve a problem
The source of wealth is found in solving people’s problem, when you solve problem, you are known and seen as a solution to that problem and in other way round you get rewarded for it. And what the kings want are solutions provider.

(Gen 40:12 CEV)  Joseph said: This is the meaning of your dream. The three branches stand for three days,

(Gen 40:13 CEV)  and in three days the king will pardon you. He will make you his personal servant again, and you will serve him his wine, just as you used to do.

(Gen 41:28 CEV)  It is just as I said--God has shown what he intends to do.

(Gen 41:29 CEV)  For seven years Egypt will have more than enough grain,

(Dan 4:8 CEV)  Finally, a young man named Daniel came in, and I told him the dream. The holy gods had given him special powers, and I had renamed him Belteshazzar after my own god.

(Dan 4:9 CEV)  I said, "Belteshazzar, not only are you the wisest of all advisors and counselors, but the holy gods have given you special powers to solve the most difficult mysteries. So listen to what I dreamed and tell me what it means:

2.                You must utilize your opportunities/chances/don’t dull yourself

It’s usually said that opportunity lost can’t be regained, therefore it says to me that opportunities are precious and must be used judiciously, don’t waste it, don’t blow it, to have it may take another circle. Someone said a vision not implemented in seven years, is gone to another person, so use it now, don’t wait.

(Gen 40:14 CEV)  But when these good things happen, please don't forget to tell the king about me, so I can get out of this place.

(Gen 40:15 CEV)  I was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and here in Egypt I haven't done anything to deserve being thrown in jail.

3.                You must always say it the way it is

Irrespective of what will happen, learn to say it the way it is, you are responsible to God and not any man, so what you do will be about the fear of God not the fear of man. There are lots of time that your advice to people might be so different from others, hello sir/ma just say it as it is.

Joseph - Gen 40:18-19 CEV (18)  Joseph said: This is the meaning of your dream. The three baskets are three days, (19)  and in three days the king will cut off your head. He will hang your body on a pole, and birds will come and peck at it.

Daniel - Dan 3:16-18 CEV (16)  The three men replied, "Your Majesty, we don't need to defend ourselves. (17)  The God we worship can save us from you and your flaming furnace. (18)  But even if he doesn't, we still won't worship your gods and the gold statue you have set up."

(Dan 4:24 CEV)  Your Majesty, God Most High has sent you this message, and it means

(Dan 4:25 CEV)  that you will be forced to live with the wild animals, far away from humans. You will eat grass like a wild animal and live outdoors for seven years, until you learn that God Most High controls all earthly kingdoms and chooses their rulers.

(Dan 4:26 CEV)  But he gave orders not to disturb the stump and roots. This is to show that you will be king once again, after you learn that the God who rules from heaven is in control.

4.                You must ascribe your success to God

One thing you must always realize is that your success is not by your making, but it was given to you by God, so at every point of your life, make sure you make the world know that it is God who did this not man.

Joseph - (Gen 41:16 CEV)  "Your Majesty," Joseph answered, "I can't do it myself, but God can give a good meaning to your dreams."

(Gen 41:28 CEV)  It is just as I said--God has shown what he intends to do.

Daniel - Dan 2:27-28 CEV (27)  Daniel answered: Your Majesty, not even the smartest person in all the world can do what you are demanding. (28)  But the God who rules from heaven can explain mysteries. And while you were sleeping, he showed you what will happen in the future.

5.                You must be good looking

I call this the final blow, if truly you must stand before kings and do great exploits, there are some things that must just be natural and you cannot compromise it, see what they say about Daniel and his friends.

Daniel - Dan 1:4 CEV (4)  The king said, "They must be healthy, handsome, smart, wise, educated, and fit to serve in the royal palace. Teach them how to speak and write our language

Summary (You are Unstoppable!)

Read this aloud to yourself "His divine power has given us all thing unto life and godliness, so I will go out there and succeed. I am unstoppable. I can make it, I will make it, I have Jesus, I have everything, no matter the challenge, I will overcome, I am wise, I am smart, I am beautiful, am healthy in my health and in my mind, I can see problems, I can take advantage of it, I can solve problems, yes any problems, Jesus said I will do more than he does, so I can, yes I can, all my success is given by God, and to him I give all my glory.

Go and Stand Before Kings - Part 3

Following our discussion from yesterday, a lot of people have forgotten that to become relevant in life takes a serious dedication and commitment to a course of action, today I will talk about two more things that must happen in your life if you must stand before kings.

1. You must have concern or empathy for people

Secrete to getting problem solved is to be concerned about the problem, what you don’t have concerns for doesn't get to you, you should be able to have concern for people and even empathize with them. Put yourself in their shoes, feel what they are feeling in your mind, this helps you solve the major part of their problems; this is what Joseph and Moses in the bible days displayed as seen in the scriptures below.

(Gen 40:7 CEV) and he asked, "Why are you so worried today?"

(Exo 2:17 CEV) Some shepherds tried to chase them away, but Moses came to their rescue and watered their animals.

2. You must be willing to offer free services

“There is no free lunch in free town” they say, but I’m here to encourage someone today that you should offer free services most especially when you are just starting to know about that area of expertise.

(Gen 40:8 CEV) "We each had a dream last night," they answered, "and there is no one to tell us what they mean." Joseph replied, "Doesn't God know the meaning of dreams? Now tell me what you dreamed."

It is time to start helping out, so you could be referred and this start by doing the two things I just mentioned.

You are blessed.

Go and Stand Before Kings - Part 2

Yesterday, we said that the first thing that you must do, or that must happen to you if you must stand before kings, or become the words of the king is that you must have an encounter with God. Today we'll continue with two more things which must happen to you if you must stand before kings.
2. You must experience a challenge
I was reading some words from an author and he said "success is not complete without failure", which says to me you can’t be there except there are challenges. Show me a true great man that has not experience any challenge, I guess you found non; in fact one of the criteria for success is examination, until you have taken one exam you can’t be promoted to the next level, the truth of the matter is that even those people who fail in life has also taken an examination. Really success is not cheap.

Joseph - (Gen 40:1 CEV)  While Joseph was in prison, both the king's personal servant and his chief cook made the king angry. So he had them thrown into the same prison with Joseph.  4.  They spent a long time in prison, and Potiphar, the official in charge of the palace guard, made Joseph their servant.

Daniel - Dan 1:1-2 CEV (1)  In the third year that Jehoiakim was king of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia attacked Jerusalem. (2)  The Lord let Nebuchadnezzar capture Jehoiakim and take away some of the things used in God's temple. And when the king returned to Babylonia, he put these things in the temple of his own god.

Joseph was kept in prison for what he knew nothing about. Sincerely a lot of great people like Nelson Mandela didn't just become what they are by chance, they went through serious challenges of life.

3. You must be observant
Long time ago my brother told me that anywhere he gets to as a student on campus, the first thing he does is to read the notice board. That is exactly what am talking about! be observant!, do you know that information well used results into human transformation, a lot of people are just doing their own thing, just going one way not minding what’s happening in their immediate environment, some don’t even collect fliers when they are walking along the street, some go to their Facebook page only to post pictures and update their profile, not even looking at other things around their page (the adverts for instance), some even go to parties without looking out for specific things (like who the compare was, what’s the trend in styles etc.) all am saying is be observant, information can give you what you need!. What kings want is information that will benefit them, and you can only get that if you are observant.

Joseph - Gen 40:6 CEV (6)  The next morning, when Joseph went to see the men, he could tell they were upset,..

Joseph was very observant and that's why he could his in-mates had a problem and that lead to others things. We will talk about it tomorrow.

Go and stand before kings

Hi, in the next couple of days I will be sharing with you some lessons God thought me in the past week, while trying to speak to a set of new graduands from a particular institution of learning here in Nigeria. Please enjoy the lessons and am sure you will never remain the same.

Introduction
(Jer 29:11 CEV)  I will bless you with a future filled with hope--a future of success, not of suffering.

(Pro 22:29 CEV)  If you do your job well, you will work for a ruler and never be a slave.

In as much as the plan of God for every believer is to be successful in life, to make profit, and to standout and not stand under, it is highly important and recommended that believers play their part in the future that God had planned for us. This will be the bedrock of our chat today. “Go and stand before kings”.

So who exactly can stand before kings and what are the criteria required to stand before kings. By the way who are kings and how important are they in decision making, what role do they play in people’s destiny.

The King
(Ecc 8:4 CEV)  The king's word is law. No one can ask him, "Why are you doing this?"

"A King is the male ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right or birth."
A king is the ruler, he dominates a kingdom or territory, he has power over the law, he is law himself, his words are final, whatever he does can’t be questioned, his words can either make or mar other peoples’ destiny.

But what is the connection between you the reader or listener and the king in respect to these words? This is it, you are to stand before kings, give them advice, be their words to others, influence their decisions, let them come to terms with you and you becoming their voice.
Let’s see what must happen or you must do to stand before kings, learning from the scriptures and our present world.

  1. You must have an encounter with God (saved): The first thing that can distinguish you from the crowd and make you become cherry-picked out of many is having an encounter with God.

 Joseph
(Gen 41:38 CEV) So the king said to them, "No one could possibly handle this better than Joseph, since the Spirit of God is with him."
Daniel
(Dan 1:8 CEV)  Daniel made up his mind to eat and drink only what God had approved for his people to eat. …
Pastor E.O. Abina, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Rev. Sam Adeyemi, Myles Munroe etc. All these people have stood before the kings, the rulers of nations just because they have the spirit of God inside of them as a result of their encounter with God the Almighty. Do you crave for an encounter?

(Joh 3:3 KJV)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Say this with confidence and faith; believing in your heart it's done.
Dear Lord, today I accept your rulership, I believe you reign and rule, I believe you have a plan for me, I believe you sent your son to die for my sin, I believe you are a saviour, and a deliverer, today, I give my life, my will, my all to you to direct and to lead, I rededicate my life to you to continually be my God, Lord and Saviour, in Jesus name. Amen
