Go and stand before kings

Hi, in the next couple of days I will be sharing with you some lessons God thought me in the past week, while trying to speak to a set of new graduands from a particular institution of learning here in Nigeria. Please enjoy the lessons and am sure you will never remain the same.

Introduction
(Jer 29:11 CEV)  I will bless you with a future filled with hope--a future of success, not of suffering.

(Pro 22:29 CEV)  If you do your job well, you will work for a ruler and never be a slave.

In as much as the plan of God for every believer is to be successful in life, to make profit, and to standout and not stand under, it is highly important and recommended that believers play their part in the future that God had planned for us. This will be the bedrock of our chat today. “Go and stand before kings”.

So who exactly can stand before kings and what are the criteria required to stand before kings. By the way who are kings and how important are they in decision making, what role do they play in people’s destiny.

The King
(Ecc 8:4 CEV)  The king's word is law. No one can ask him, "Why are you doing this?"

"A King is the male ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right or birth."
A king is the ruler, he dominates a kingdom or territory, he has power over the law, he is law himself, his words are final, whatever he does can’t be questioned, his words can either make or mar other peoples’ destiny.

But what is the connection between you the reader or listener and the king in respect to these words? This is it, you are to stand before kings, give them advice, be their words to others, influence their decisions, let them come to terms with you and you becoming their voice.
Let’s see what must happen or you must do to stand before kings, learning from the scriptures and our present world.

  1. You must have an encounter with God (saved): The first thing that can distinguish you from the crowd and make you become cherry-picked out of many is having an encounter with God.

 Joseph
(Gen 41:38 CEV) So the king said to them, "No one could possibly handle this better than Joseph, since the Spirit of God is with him."
Daniel
(Dan 1:8 CEV)  Daniel made up his mind to eat and drink only what God had approved for his people to eat. …
Pastor E.O. Abina, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Rev. Sam Adeyemi, Myles Munroe etc. All these people have stood before the kings, the rulers of nations just because they have the spirit of God inside of them as a result of their encounter with God the Almighty. Do you crave for an encounter?

(Joh 3:3 KJV)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Say this with confidence and faith; believing in your heart it's done.
Dear Lord, today I accept your rulership, I believe you reign and rule, I believe you have a plan for me, I believe you sent your son to die for my sin, I believe you are a saviour, and a deliverer, today, I give my life, my will, my all to you to direct and to lead, I rededicate my life to you to continually be my God, Lord and Saviour, in Jesus name. Amen
